Abby Sparkles Sportive
Elgin Cycle Club are delighted to support Abbie’s Sparkle Foundation for a second year running.
Abbie’s smile, sparkle and infectious enthusiasm lit up a room and that’s exactly how Abbie wanted people to remember and celebrate her life. Abbie (15) passed away on Christmas Day 2017 after living with Sarcoma – a rare form of Cancer. Abbie was vivacious and talented and was hailed by medics as “incredible and a truly inspirational young woman”. One of Abbie’s wishes was to raise money for “Hospitals and stuff” under the charity name “Abbie’s Sparkle Foundation”.
To support Abbie’s Sparkle foundation, Elgin Cycle Club are arranging a cycling event to take place on Sunday 18th August 2019. There are two routes available, 50km and 100km.
The 100km route is: Elgin – Pluscarden – Rafford – Half Davoch – Logie – Ferness – Nairn – Forres – Kinloss – Elgin Garmin route : https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/18433465
The 50km route is the same as the longer route until Rafford. It then takes a more direct route through Forres before rejoining the 100km route at Kinloss.
